重陽の節句とパッチワーカーの創造力☆

夏からの猛暑、そして先週の台風と地震。
自然災害はどうしようもないとはいえ、これだけ重なると気持ちが重くなります。
被災地の一刻も早い復旧を願っています。
さて、季節は秋に移り変わろうとしています。
9月9日は重陽の節句。
旧暦の9月9日は、現在の10月にあたるとのこと。
奇数の中でも最大の「9」の数字が重なることもあり、秋の収穫期を祝う行事です。
パッチワークの展示会でも、
小さく可愛い着物や手まりと一緒に、
重陽の節句にちなみ、
秋の収穫物を模したパッチワーク作品が展示されていました☆
ちなみにパッチワークは、配色と配置の妙、とてもクリエイティブな作業です。
これから、芸術の秋、スポーツの秋、食欲の秋、
たくさんの○○の秋で、自由な想像からの創造力をつけていきましょう。
