大けやきの向こう側★府中けやき並木イルミネーション

プロジェクションマッピングや、音楽や水、自然とのコラボレーションなど、
アイディアや見せ方を競うように、年々白熱するイルミネーションスポットですが、
東京・府中では、
府中市のシンボルでもある、けやき並木とのコラボレーションで
イルミネーションが輝いていました。
府中といえば馬！？
ペガサスのイルミネーション☆
ここのけやき並木は『馬場大門欅(けやき)並木』というそうで、
実は近くの『大國魂神社』から続く参道なんだそうです。
神社の参道にイルミネーションというのも斬新です。
西日本に比べて、東日本の馬は立派で丈夫、
という昔話しを、以前に聞いたことがありますが、
実際に府中では、関東有数の軍馬の供給地として、
戦国時代から江戸時代初期まで、毎年『馬市』が開催されていたそうです。
府中は昔から馬との関わりが深かったんですね。
意外な歴史を学びました。

通行人にファイティングポーズをとる白熊や、
サンゴをかじる熱帯魚など。
様々なテーマのイルミネーションが楽しめました☆
